The Challenge
The challenge was clear: to reinvent a space that was trapped by its outdated design and limited functionality. The original kitchen was equipped with a standard corner pantry that, while practical, severely limited the counter space and overall flow of the room. Our solution was both radical and effective—we demolished the corner pantry to reclaim valuable counter space, instantly transforming the kitchen’s layout into a more open, accessible, and functional area.
In place of the old pantry, we installed all-white Shaker cabinets, synonymous with timeless elegance and simplicity. These cabinets not only brightened the space but also introduced a level of sophistication and modernity that was sorely lacking. To complement this, a large functional pantry with pullout trays was added, maximizing storage without compromising on style.
The Showstopper in This Remodel
The centerpiece of this renovation is the large island, featuring a ‘workstation’ style sink equipped with accessories such as a cutting board and colander, and a Chef’s faucet. This not only serves as a focal point of the kitchen but also enhances its functionality, making it a joy for cooking enthusiasts and professional chefs alike.
Lighting plays a pivotal role in setting the ambiance of a space, and this kitchen was no exception. We installed lots of recessed white LED lighting and under-cabinet lighting, which not only illuminated the kitchen beautifully but also made it a vibrant and inviting space to cook and entertain in.
Custom Tile Flooring
A significant aspect of this project was the installation of new porcelain ‘wood-look’ style floor tile throughout the entire first floor of the home. This choice of flooring brought warmth and a natural feel to the space, seamlessly blending with the kitchen’s new aesthetic while providing durability and ease of maintenance.
