This remodel wasn’t just about updating a space; it was about reimagining a 90’s builder-grade bathroom into a luxurious spa retreat, reflective of the unique tastes and needs of its owners.
The Challenge
The original bathroom, with its outdated brass shower and corner tub, was a far cry from the relaxing sanctuary our clients desired. The space was not only dated in style but also lacked the functionality and luxury elements that modern homeowners crave. Our mission was to transform this ordinary bathroom into a stunning, spa-like retreat, ensuring every inch of the space exuded comfort and elegance.
Innovative Design
The highlight of our remodel was the creation of a “zero threshold wet area,” a cutting-edge design that brings the feel of a high-end spa right into the home. We meticulously jacked out the concrete slab to accommodate this feature, which included a long linear drain, a freestanding tub, and a bodyshower system. The centerpiece of this wet area is the breathtaking floor-to-ceiling glass enclosure, measuring an impressive 11 feet in height, which not only adds a sense of grandeur but also creates an illusion of an even more spacious area.
Sophisticated Tiling
We chose 24×48 porcelain tiles for their sleek look and easy maintenance, laying them with precise 1/16” grout lines for a seamless appearance. This choice of tiling not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also ensures durability and ease of cleaning, crucial for a frequently used space like a bathroom.
Spacious and Luxurious Vanity
Understanding the need for ample storage without compromising on style, we installed a new long double vanity, complemented by upper storage cabinets from J&K Cabinetry. This not only provided necessary storage solutions but also added an element of sophistication to the bathroom.
Lighting
The lighting in a bathroom can make or break the ambiance. We installed multiple recessed white LEDs and LED vanity mirrors to create a well-lit yet soothing environment. This thoughtful lighting design ensures the bathroom is functional at any time of the day while also highlighting its elegant features.
